By Fans, For Fans
While brainstorming where else Authentikate's (formerly ZERID) CKY technology for scam prevention could be applied, Co-founder Rhys Morgan shared a story. He'd recently had to help save his mother-in-law from losing thousands of dollars to a fake influencer account. Luckily, he caught it just in time, right before she sent the money.
Inspired by this close call, Co-founder Daniel Thomas started wondering: what could help people going through similar
experiences? What if ordinary fans, like you and me, could instantly check whether they're speaking to the real celebrity or not?
Could it be done? We believe it can.
So welcome AuthentiKate, the world's first app to verify if your favorite celebrity's communications are genuine or not.
An Everyday, Everywhere Occurrence
Rhys's mother-in-law isn't the only one. This happens to someone's mom, someone's grandparent, someone's friend every single day. That moment of excitement when you think maybe, just maybe, your favorite celebrity is reaching out to you personally. It feels real. It feels special.
And that's exactly what scammers count on.
It's not just about the money people lose, though that's devastating enough. It's the embarrassment. The shame of falling for it. The feeling of being stupid for believing, even for a second, that it could have been real. That emotional damage is silent and lasting for countless victims.
We believe that nobody should have to feel that way and we hope AuthentiKate can help make it so.
What We're Doing
We want to end celebrity impersonation scams by making verification accessible to everyone. Simple as that. Fans should be able to know, instantly, whether they're talking to the real person or not. No more guessing. No more wondering. Just the truth.
Where We're Going
We imagine a world where trust isn't a gamble. Where fans can connect with the people they admire without that nagging fear in the back of their minds. Where celebrities can actually protect their communities instead of just warning them. Where verification is so easy and so common that scammers can't operate anymore.
AuthentiKate is just the start. We're building something bigger than an app. We're building a new kind of trust.
No Hidden Agendas
AuthentiKate is free for fans. Forever. No ads. No data collection. No tracking. No selling your information.
We're just here to solve a serious problem and make sure fewer people get hurt.
When you verify someone on AuthentiKate, that's between you and them. We don't ask who you are. We never do and never will collect data about you. Your privacy stays yours. Period.
Good tech can be just that. Good.
Meet Team Kate

Rhys Morgan
Co-founder & CTO
Hello there! Just like you and me, we're just two people who saw a problem that's hurting real people and thought, "Maybe we can actually do something about this."
Daniel comes from a background in operations & sales at companies like Uber and Tesla. Rhys is a technical architect and co-founder of a development agency. Neither of us woke up planning to build a celebrity verification app, and yet here we are because Rhys's mother-in-law almost lost thousands to a scammer herself.
We're building AuthentiKate for you, for us, and for everyone else. We don't have all the answers, but we promise we're doing our best to make the world a little safer.
If you want to reach us, we're at kate@authentikate.com. We read and respond to emails ourselves. Pinky promise!
Don't hesitate.
Just AuthentiKate.

Stay in the loop for launch updates, scam-spotting tips, behind-the-scenes fun, and be the first to know when the app drops. Scammers are powerless when fans stay connected 😉 — let's keep 'em on their toes together.
